Junior Designer / Design Intern (Summer Start)

Location: Exeter (Hybrid / Flexible)

Start date: ASAP (working June/July/August – potential to extend contract)

Salary: approx £23,400/ pro-rated

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior Designer or Design Intern to join the team and support our design output across multiple clients and projects. This is a hands-on, paid role, ideal for someone early in their design career looking for immediate experience this summer. You’ll gain exposure across real projects while developing your technical skills, creative eye, and confidence working alongside senior art directors, strategists and developers.

You’ll be involved in:

• Artworking and preparing assets for web, email, social, paid media and campaign creative
• Styling and refining design elements in line with brand guidelines and creative direction
• Layout and production tasks across multiple digital formats
• Preparing and organising files, assets and working files across projects
• Supporting the senior design team with day-to-day delivery across the full client roster

You’ll gain exposure to:

• Branding projects (digital, packaging and campaign creative)
• UI design and Shopify website builds
• Paid media creative and performance marketing design
• Direct collaboration with experienced art directors, strategists, and growth marketers

What we’re looking for:

• A sharp eye for layout, typography and attention to detail
• Confident using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Familiarity with Figma is a bonus but not essential
• Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, ask questions and take feedback
• A strong interest in ecommerce, consumer brands and digital design
