Overview and Expectations

Role Overview:

As a Mid-Weight Digital Designer at Tribe, you’ll be responsible for designing high-performing digital experiences and creative assets that directly impact our clients’ growth. Your focus will be on UX and UI design for ecommerce websites, performance-driven email design, and creative for paid media channels. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help turn strategy into sleek, scalable design systems and campaign assets that elevate brands and drive conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

UX/UI Design

  • Design customer-centric website layouts and components in Figma, with a clear understanding of ecommerce UX best practices and conversion principles
  • Collaborate with developers and strategists to deliver designs that are visually compelling, technically feasible, and optimised for performance
  • Translate wireframes and prototypes into final responsive designs across web and mobile

Email & Retention Design

  • Design high-converting Klaviyo email flows and campaign templates (e.g. welcome, abandoned cart, lapsed subscriber)

  • Develop modular design systems for email and retention channels to ensure brand consistency and ease of rollout

Performance Media Assets

  • Design and iterate creative assets for Meta, TikTok, YouTube and display advertising campaigns

  • Tailor creative to platform formats and campaign objectives (e.g. acquisition vs retargeting), ensuring messaging and visuals align with funnel stage and audience

Collaboration and Management

  • Report directly to our Head of Design and work alongside a Senior Designer
    Work closely with Tribe’s Design, Growth and Build teams to align creative with CRO, paid media and technical strategy
  • Join workshops and concepting sessions, contributing to brand expression, campaign development, and creative direction

Quality & Consistency

  • Deliver work that reflects each brand’s unique identity while keeping usability, accessibility, and commercial performance front of mind

  • Ensure design files are well organised, annotated, and developer-ready

Stay Curious

  • Keep up with industry shifts in ecommerce UX, design trends, email performance and platform updates

  • Bring learnings and inspiration back into the team to evolve our creative thinking and standards

Preferred Qualities & Experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a digital or ecommerce-focused agency

  • Strong Figma experience required; Adobe Creative Suite for asset creation

  • Solid understanding of conversion principles, ecommerce UX, and direct response creative

  • Experience designing for Klaviyo, Meta Ads, and performance-driven creative formats

  • Interest in CPG categories such as food, beauty, and wellness

  • Clear communicator with confidence presenting your ideas and rationale

  • A collaborative, curious mindset with high attention to detail and design craft
